Invitation to the 2023 Youth Law Day – Sept. 9, 2023

July 11, 2023

Capital City Lawyers Association invites the youth attending your summer program or activities to visit the Wake County Courthouse for the CCLA 2023 Youth Law Day on Saturday, September 9, 2023.

This program will provide your youth with the opportunity to learn about the justice system and expose them to the different roles of those who work within that system. Participants will be able to interact with and question attorneys, judges, and law enforcement officers and take a tour of the jail. This may allow them to consider the different roles as potential professions. Too many young people make temporary decisions and mistakes that have long-term consequences. It is important to expose our children to positive experiences and help them understand where negative paths can lead.

This program will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Wake County Courthouse, 316 Fayetteville St., Raleigh. It is targeted to middle and high school students between the ages of 12 and 18. Registration will begin at 9:00 am and the program will begin promptly at 9:15 am.
