CALLING FOR VOLUNTEERS CCLA 2022 Youth Law Day!!

August 25, 2022

Youth Law Day is a program hosted by Wake County Judges in collaboration with CCLA to provide local youth with the opportunity to learn about the justice system and expose them to the different roles of those who work within that system.

Participants will be able to interact with and question attorneys, judges, and law enforcement officers and take a tour of the jail. This may allow them to consider the different roles as potential professions. Too many young people make temporary decisions and mistakes that have long term consequences. It is important to expose our children to positive experiences and help them understand where negative paths can lead.

We are looking for people to help with registration and assist in the transition of the participants between sessions. Youth Law Day is on Saturday, Sept. 10, at 9:00 AM in the Wake County Courthouse. Volunteers will be needed at 8:30A to work various roles and shifts.
