Campbell Law School Seeking Judges for 2022 Intra-school Negotiation Competition
February 4, 2022
The Old Kivett Advocacy Council would like to extend an invitation to judge in Campbell Law School’s 2022 intra-school negotiation competition. Each year, students at Campbell Law compete in an ABA-style negotiation competition to further expand on their advocacy skills outside the classroom. We are looking for alumni to observe competition rounds and judge based on the provided criteria. This year the competition will run on the following dates and times:
February 25: 5:30-6:30 and 7:30-8:30
February 26: 11:00-12:00 and 12:30-1:30
The link to sign up can be found here: https://forms.gle/RdL2uN6FnmQZigQXA
Each round, there will be two teams of students negotiating a problem provided to them a week prior. During the round, you will monitor their professionalism, ability to problem-solve, and overall negotiation success. No prior experience judging a competition is required. We will also be providing a meal for all judges and competitors.
Currently, we plan to host the competition in-person. However, we are monitoring the COVID-19 situation closely and will move the competition to an online format if necessary. More details regarding format, judge criteria, the problem set, and scoresheets, will be sent closer to the competition date.
Thank you for your help, we look forward to another successful competition! Please direct any questions you may have to firstname.lastname@example.org.
