A stretch of Interstate 85 in Charlotte pays homage to the memory of one of the country’s foremost civil rights advocates. City Council finalized a N.C. Department Of Transportation plan to name a portion of I-85 from the I-77 interchange to the I-85 connector the Julius Chambers Memorial Highway.
