Invitation to judge the Campbell Law School 2019 Richard A. Lord Intramural Moot Court Competition

August 28, 2019

On behalf of the Old Kivett Advocacy Council at Campbell University School of Law, I cordially invite you to judge the 2019 Richard A. Lord Intramural Moot Court Competition.

Our annual moot court competition has enjoyed tremendous success in past years thanks to the overwhelming support of the legal community. This support comes from dedicated alumni and community partners, including local attorneys and judges. With your help, we hope to continue the success of this competition, which helps our student-advocates develop critical legal skills. Your involvement is essential to the success of the competition and will provide our student-participants with incredible advice and feedback they could not have gotten elsewhere.

This year’s competition will be held on Wednesday, September 25; Thursday, September 26; Friday, September 27; and Saturday, September 28, 2018. The rounds will begin at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and at 10:00 am on Saturday.  The competition is successful because of the great support from people like you, who dedicate their time to the students and help them grow in their advocacy skills. What would be required is you to show up for your time slot, ask questions of the advocates throughout their oral arguments, and give feedback upon the conclusion of the round.

If you are interested in participating as a judge during any of these rounds, please RSVP by visiting this signup portal and designating which round(s) you would like to serve as a judge. Please provide the best email to contact you at in the comment section when submitting your reply. Additional information regarding the competition details, such as judging materials and parking information, will be provided upon receipt of your reply.

If you are unable to participate as a judge in the Richard A. Lord Moot Court Competition this year, please forward this invitation to a friend or colleague that may be interested in participating.

Your time and contribution to the competition is invaluable, and we greatly appreciate your continued interest in Campbell Law. If you have any questions regarding the competition, please do not hesitate to contact us. On behalf of the entire Old Kivett Advocacy Council, thank you in advance for your support!

Sincerely,

Rachel Rogers

Chair of the Richard A. Lord Intramural Moot Court Competition
