If you’ve been to the NCBA Annual Meeting in the past few years, you know that the Legal Legends of Color Reception is one of the best new traditions on the schedule. If you haven’t been, make plans to attend this year June 20-23 when the Annual Meeting convenes at Biltmore for the first time ever. Organized by the NCBA’s Minorities in the Profession Committee, the Legal Legends of Color Reception is a chance to honor leaders who have paved the way. Past honorees include former Chief Justice Henry E. Frye, James E. “Fergie” Ferguson II, and Chief Justice Cheri Lynn Beasley. The committee will host the fourth LLOC Reception on Friday night, June 21, at 8:30 p.m. Admission to the reception is included at no additional charge with Annual Meeting registration or available to non-registrants here for $15. Attendees this year can also: Earn 3.0 hours of CLE during the Friday and Saturday morning sessions, included in registration, Enjoy leisure activities in the Annual Meeting attendees can reserve rooms at the DoubleTree near the estate for the discounted cost of $168 per night.
