Barnes was born and raised in Durham, North Carolina. After five seasons as a professional football player, he retired at age 27 to pursue art. CCLA’s annual Christmas Gala is our signature fundraising event to support our scholarship effort. The event for this year is scheduled on Friday, December 7 at the Sheraton Raleigh Hotel located at 421 S. Salisbury Street, Raleigh, NC 27601. Capital City Lawyers Association (CCLA) will hold a nonpartisan, multi-office candidate meet and greet and voter registration drive.
