Southern Region of the National Black Law Student Association (SRBLSA) 2024 Conference
October 12, 2023
My name is Alexia Nesmith and I have the pleasure of serving as the Southern Regional Director of Corporate Relations of the National Black Law Student Association (NBLSA).
Each year, SRBLSA hosts a convention addressing the educational needs and goals of minority law students, while encouraging their professional advancement and fostering meaningful relationships with minorities in the legal profession. The Southern Region is the largest of NBLSA’s six regions with more than 37 chapters and 1600 law students in the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
SRBLSA will host its 53rd Annual Regional Convention 2024 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Our theme is “Safeguarding our Past, Spotlighting our Present, and Securing our Future.” The convention’s programming is designed to inspire future attorneys through panel discussions and career development programming, sharpening the minds of the next great leaders within the legal system.
NBLSA’s mission is to increase the visibility and number of culturally responsible Black and Minority attorneys who succeed academically, professionally, and illustrate a commitment to their communities by making a measurable and positive impact. In order to accomplish this, SRBLSA will need the aid of organizations, like your own, dedicated to the enhancement of diversity of talent on your legal matters.
As an organization dedicated to increasing the visibility and number of black and minority attorneys who succeed academically, professionally, and have a commitment to their communities to have a positive impact, we believe that our values are aligned, and organizations can be mutually beneficial.
SRBLSA exemplifies our mission through our dedication to serving our communities and working from the inside. To do so, we rely heavily on the sponsorship of organizations like Capital City Lawyers Associations, that are dedicated to action, just as we are. As such, we would like to invite you to be a sponsor for our 2024 SRBLSA convention.
As a sponsor, you can become an active participant in SRBLA’s programs, gain access to talented law students from marginalized backgrounds, partner with SRBLSA members on community initiatives, and lead in the professional development of the next generation of practicing attorneys. Sponsorship contributions to SRBLSA enable us to facilitate essential programming efforts that are designed to provide academic support, leadership development, and civic engagement opportunities to the entirety of our membership. All contributions are used to fund our programmatic efforts including our Regional Convention. While SRBLSA offers a wide range of program-specific partnership options throughout the year, the benefits of sponsorship are primarily realized at our Regional Convention.
If you would like to sponsor our organization, please see the attached Sponsorship Guide. We look forward to hearing from you!
Kind Regards,
Alexia Nesmith
