Be a Friend of the the Annual Capital City Lawyers Association Christmas Gala

September 20, 2018

Learn how you can help us accomplish our goals and support our mission.

CCLA was founded over 30 years ago with a vision of combatting social injustices and educating citizens in our communities on the judicial process and the rule of law.  Since its founding, CCLA has left an indelible footprint on the Raleigh community in a myriad of areas including increasing voter education, registration and mobilization; informing the community on judicial candidates and elections; hosting free legal clinics; awarding scholarships to deserving law students; and providing social outlets for our members and their clients.

CCLA’s annual Christmas Gala is our signature fundraising event to support our scholarship effort.  The event for this year is scheduled on Friday, December 7 at the Sheraton Raleigh Hotel located at 421 S. Salisbury Street, Raleigh, NC 27601.  We look forward to a fun-filled evening of food, music, dancing and fellowship beginning at 8:00 p.m.  Proceeds from the event will support our annual scholarship program which awards tuition, books and/or bar exam preparation assistance to local minority law students based on a combination of need and merit.

We welcome your support of our annual Christmas Gala and, in turn, our scholarship program.  Support may be provided in a number of ways including becoming a Friend to the Gala, making a direct donation to the scholarship fund, or by purchasing a table or individual tickets to the event.  A list reflecting available Friendship Opportunities can be viewed by clicking here.  The CCLA Scholarship Foundation administers the scholarship funds, and has applied for 501(c)(3) status with the Internal Revenue Service.  Thank you in advance for your consideration.

Sincerely,
CAPITAL CITY LAWYERS ASSOCIATION
