Wake County Teen Court Seeks Volunteers

June 2, 2022

Wake County Teen Court offers youth offenders with misdemeanors a chance to forego incarceration and/or punitive punishment for minor offenses, focusing instead on restorative justice. Teen Court is primarily run through volunteer youth, but active or retired attorneys are needed to serve as judges who preside over the courtroom and give feedback and guidance to youth attorneys. Court is held the first and third Tuesday of each month from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

If you are interested in volunteering for this worthwhile program, please contact Volunteer Coordinator Elli Gottfried at elizabeth.gottfried@wakegov.com or at 919-856-7588.
